Summary
The Jubilee Bridge was formally opened in November 1925. The bridge was first constructed with a lift span to allow boats to pass. The span was removed and the bridge widened in 1933 due to the demands of motor traffic. The bridge was closed and the Gold Coast bridge was constructed in 1966Note the expanse of water to the left in this image. The area would be filled and drained. The Southport Yacht Club would be towards the right
