Summary
Photographs were taken circa 1986 prior to planning for the Nerang Street Mall to be constructed between Marine Parade - Gold Coast Highway and the intersection with Scarborough Street. Construction on the mall started late 1988. Photographs showed detailed views of shops, arcades, banks, Allisons, Bulletin Arcade, Overells, Woolworths, Granton House facade, Birkbecks and other businesses operating at this time along this section of Nerang Street as well as centre parking with motor vehicles, facades of historical buildings, the Meteora building which was built by the Catsoulis family in 1970
