The Southport Racecourse can be seen in the top left of the image. The bridge crossing over the canal on Sunshine Boulevard is located in the bottom right. T E Peters Drive runs through the centre of the image intersecting with Rio Vista Boulevard. The bridge crossing the Nerang River, connecting the Southport - Burleigh Road with Bundall Road, has not yet been constructed. Cascade Gardens appears on the upper right edge of the image.
