Summary

For Charlie Carr, it's a trying time, and not just because of the war. Though her head dictates loyalty to handsome corpsman Hugh Brumlow, whenever she thinks of her best friend's beau, her heart does the Jersey Bounce. And now, the entire town of Elderberry is in a tizzy. One frosty November morning, Charlie and her fellow teachers are miffed with the school custodian "Christmas" Malone.
