"New Bridge, Southport, Q."--Inscription on photographThe Jubilee Bridge was formally opened on 26 November 1925. The bridge was first constructed with a lift span to allow boats to pass; the demands of motor traffic however saw the span removed in 1933 and the bridge widened.
