The Hotel Coolangata facing Marine Parade was originally established in 1910-11 as the Hotel Tweed. It was destroyed by fire in 1931. It was rebuilt and remains as the Coolangatta Hotel. Here the photograph indicates the licensee was V. J. Pidcock
