Summary
"Flat Rock, Tweed Heads"--Inscription on photograph"Flat Rock Creek derived its name from the small rocky outcrop located south of the creek mouth. This creek forms the border between Tugun and Currumbin. On the northern side of Flat Rock Creek is Currumbin Beach noted for its rock pools and great surf. It is however, only in recent times that the name Flat Rock Creek has referred to the salt water stream which divides the Tugun area from Currumbin. Locals always referred to the creek as Tugun Creek."--Information taken from http://www.walkabout.com.au/locations/QLDCoolangatta.shtml viewed 24/12/2003
