On her own and in her own words, Serena Williams bids adieu to tennis. Serena declared that she would play in the US Open in Flushing Meadows at the end of the month after winning her first match in more than a year on Monday at the National Open in Toronto. Her last grand slam match will take place then. The 40-year-old has won 23 grand slam titles, which is one more than the record held by Margaret Court and the most during the Open Era
