Summary
True heart Susie (87 min.): Lillian Gish portrays a pure, prim girl who so loves her childhood sweetheart (played by Griffith's most charming hero, Robert Harron) that she sells the family cow to anonymously finance his higher education, only to lose him to a more "modern" woman when he comes home. Griffith is in top form and Gish's performance is one of her bestHoodoo Ann (64 min.): An orphan girl (Mae Marsh) yearns for acceptance and love. Although the plot is a tangle of coincidences, there are many fine touches, including a spectacular orphanage fire, two bedtime kiss sequences, an off-screen first kiss, an extended movie-within-a-movie, and the final wedding scene
