Summary
Hesse lives in a small coastal town, where a coalmine and power station are a part of the scenery, and part of the problem of climate change. His mum is a member of the local environment group campaigning to close both down. But Hesse is more interested in surfing - and in Fenna, the new exchange student from the Netherlands. When someone tries to derail the campaign and cover up the dangerously high emissions levels from the power station, Hesse decides it's time to take a stand. Because some things are too important to leave to everyone else, and even one small, nervous voice can start something big. But taking a stand in small town has consequences, and Hesse has little idea of the storm that is about to engulf him, or of the friends he could lose forever
