My name is Esther and I'm 12. In this book there are 52 true stories that I told to Riad Sattouf (this friend of my dad's who's a famous cartoonist) so he could turn them into strips about me, my life, and the secret world of young people. Sometimes I imagine what I'd do if I was president, so that explains the picture on the cover (which is hilarious, apart from the acne on my face: totally unnecessary IMO). Anyway, yes, I do really exist, but I keep my true identity secret (I love mysteries)
