Summary
Three days out of Quirt, Arizona, on the trail of the bank robber Jake Worthy, Riley already knew it was a lost cause. Sheriff Fawcett had lost control of his men, the posse no longer getting along with each other, and he was legally obligated to halt his pursuit of Worthy once they reached the county line.
