Summary
In her second murder case as a PI, Emma Djan looks into the death of a Ghanaian fashion icon and social media celebrity, Lady Araba. Hard-hitting talk show anchor Augustus Seeza has become a household name in Ghana, though surrounded by rumours of lavish overspending, alcoholism, and womanising. He's dating the imposing, beautiful Lady Araba, who runs a self-made fashion empire. Araba's religious family hates Augustus, whom they believe is using Araba for money, and intervenes to break up the couple. A few days later, just before a major runway show, Araba is found bludgeoned to death in her room, her driver arrested after a slipshod investigation. A year later, Araba's favourite aunt, Dele, approaches Emma Djan's PI firm for help. Dele believes the cops have pinned the murder on a scapegoat, and that the real killer lies within Augustus and Araba's inner circle. Every one of the suspects appears to have an alibi for the night in question, but Emma quickly discovers that they are willing to lie for each other, and that one may still be willing to kill to cover up their past transgressions
