Summary

Cecilia Wilborg has the perfect life. A handsome husband, two beautiful daughters and a large house in the picture postcard town of Sandefjord. When she picks her daughters up from swimming club one evening, the receptionist asks her to drop off a little boy, Tobias, whose mother has failed to turn up. As Cecilia pulls up to the house he says is his home, she realises something is not right. This house is a wreck, no family could live there. So she reluctantly takes Tobias home with her, until his mother can be found. But no one ever comes for Tobias. And as he settles in to Cecilia's family home, dark secrets from her own past begin to force their way back to the surface, threatening to shatter the perfect picture she's pieced together
