This series of images shows an area between the Albert River in the vicinity of Quinns Hill Road, Stapylton; and east to Steiglitz Wharf; including Yatala, Gilberton, Woongoolba, Cabbage Tree Point, and the South Coast Railway line. Image 165 shows the Pacific Highway, the South Coast Railway line, the rail bridge over the Albert River at Beenleigh, and the Beenleigh Distillery. Image 168 shows the Stapylton Quarry. Image 173 shows the Rocky Point Sugar Mill at Woongoolba. Image 176 shows the Steiglitz Wharf and Cabbage Tree Point; in the vicinity of the future site of the Horizon Shores real estate development. The photographs were taken from a vertical aspect at a height of 6,500 feet on 7 July 1964. The album includes a map of the area with place names highlighted to assist in identifying locations for each image.
