- Award winning cartoonist Carol Tyler (Soldier's Heart) takes the reader back to the exhilaration and madness of Beatlemania. Adapted from a diary she created in 1965, Fab4 Mania chronicles a formative year when four British lads awakened young Carol's senses and opened her up to the world beyond small-town Fox Lake, Illinois. Brimming with rich period details, gorgeous full colour illustrations, generational confusion, cheeky humor, and teen-age camaraderie, the ever-exuberant Tyler guides us through her obsessive devotion to the Beatles, which includes a first-hand account of their Comiskey Park concert in Chicago on August 20. Fab4 Mania is at once an endearing memoir of her almost-innocent youth and a celebration of the most innovative pop group in the history of music
