Summary
Eight-year-old Finn lives on a small, sea-girt island, with his Pa, his elder sister Alice and his younger sister Daisy. He has no memory of any other world. But his father's stories tell of the great flood that drowned all other earthly inhabitants. Their family survived thanks to the ark in which they now live. Alice treasures vague memories of her dead mother and life before the flood. Suspecting her father's account of the past, she seeks contact with the outside world. And when a boy is washed up on the shore, it appears they're not alone after all..
