Summary
The hotel opened in 1885 on a licence transferred from Theodore Lenneberg's Labrador Hotel, which was destroyed by fire. These visitors would have enjoyed boat trips to Stradbroke Island, collecting staghorns and other ferns, shooting local wildlife and game as well as swimming, fishing and buggy rides along the main ocean beach to Burleigh Heads
