Summary
Built in 1870s as a holiday home. Believed to be for the Governor of Queensland but could also have been for Frederick Shaw, Manager of Cobb and Co, Queensland. The house was very large and had staff quarters. In the centre of the house was a tin lined room which may have been used for a pantry.House bought in 1945 by Hasemann family for 1,650 pounds. Demolished 1969. The Hasemann's built a small mixed business on the premises in 1946. It was the first shop in the area.
