The Hotel opened in 1933 and stood for many years as the acme of hotel accommodation in Coolangatta and Tweed Heads. Tiled roof, brick with cement stucco rendering, it was designed by M V E Woodroffe of Sydney in a contemporary Spanish Mission style and was modern in every respect
