This image shows the canal developments located behind Broadbeach and spans from Queensland Avenue in the south through to Armrick Avenue in the north. The Gold Coast Highway runs through the centre of the image, Broadbeach Boulevard follows along the ocean foreshore. Kurrawa Park is located in the very bottom left. The Broadbeach Park and Broadbeach Bowls Club are located towards the bottom right edge of the image, the Broadbeach Surf Lifesaving Club just below. The bridge connecting Broadbeach with Miami Keys can be seen on the centre left edge, T E Peters Drive leads from the bridge intersecting with Rio Vista Boulevard to the west. Cascade Gardens is located on the centre right. This image was taken prior to the construction of the Gold Coast Convention and Exhibition Centre and the Southport - Burleigh Road and accompanying bridges. The area that is to become Albert Park is situated towards the top centre.
