Sue Robbins (1956-2004) was elected to Albert Shire Council in 1994. While unsuccessful in the 1995 election for the new Gold Coast City Council she was again voted into office in 1997 for Division 14. She was chair of the Planning and Development (South), Urban Design Committee and the Nature conservation Stakeholder Group. She was an active participant in committees including the Health, Cultural and Community Safety Committee, the Planning Scheme Review Advisory Committee and the South Gold Coast Hinterland Creeks and Tributaries Water Advisory Committee
