Located in the centre of the image is The Southport School and grounds, below this in the bottom right corner is the Brickworks Centre. The Southport - Burleigh Road begins at the lower centre edge of the image, briefly becoming Ferry Road as it passes The Southport School, before continuing up towards the Gold Coast City Council Administration Centre, 'Evandale', on the top right edge of the image. Winchester Street borders The Southport School on the northern side, intersecting with Ferry Road. Cronin Island and Chevron Island can be seen in the upper centre of the image. The bridge connecting Surfers Paradise with Chevron Island can be seen towards the centre top left. Just above this the Capri Bridge connects Surfers Paradise with the Isle of Capri. However, the bridge connecting Chevron Island on the western side with Southport has not yet been constructed. Ongoing canal development in Paradise Waters can be seen on the centre left edge.
