Summary
This film takes the viewer to the wedding of a young couple in the village of Muotathal in the Canton of Schwyz in the mountains of central Switzerland. The marriage took place on 28 April, 1983 and at Susanna's and Josef's wedding there was yodelling and "yootzing" (a local variant form of yodelling). At the request of the groom's parents the Yodel Club of the commune sings the Yodel Mass, created in 1975 by Jost Marty, a well known composer of Jodellieder. Then at the wedding feast and reception there is the traditional cowbell procession by the local Bell-ringing Association, more yodelling, a whip-cracking procession and dancing to accordion music till 2 a.m
