Summary
This series of images shows an area from Tallebudgera Creek and south to Tugun; including Flat Rock Creek; the South Coast Railway line and the rail bridge over Currumbin Creek; Laguna Park lake, Palm Beach; and Currumbin Creek estuary before stabilisation works occurred in the 1970s. Image 100 shows Salk Oval; Currumbin State Primary School; the water reservoir in the vicinity of Crest Drive, Currumbin; the Palm Beach Bowls Club at Palm Beach; and Neumann's sand mining operation at Currumbin Point. Image 101 shows the rail bridge over Currumbin Creek, and Currumbin railway station in the vicinity of Station Street, Currumbin. The photographs were taken from a vertical aspect at a height of 3,500 feet on 6 July 1964. The album includes a map of the area with place names highlighted to assist in identifying locations for each image.
