Summary
Below Another Sky presents recent works from 20 contemporary artists: 10 from Scotland and 10 from the Commonwealth countries (Australia, Canada, India and Pakistan), produced in 2013 and 2014 during a collaborative residency programme commissioned by the Scottish Print Network. This catalogue introduces the work produced by each of the artists, including prints by Turner Prize nominees Jim Lambie, David Shrigley and Janice Kerbel as well as international artists Emily Floyd, David Noonan, Rohini Devasher and Seher Shah among others, and details the collaboration between the five Scottish printing studios and partner organisations in Antigua, Baffin Bay, Bangladesh, Canada, India, New Zealand and Zambia. The publication showcases a rich, varied and original selection of works in the field of printmaking. Through the use of different materials and methods, these artists and their selected works highlight the different ways in which printmaking can be explored, perceived and made contemporary. This title is published on the occasion of a British Council Touring Exhibition
