Summary
Hazel Morrison has a strange and secret habit that no one knows about - she makes videos, pretend ones that is, about all her everyday things. Eight important tips for successfully buttering toast! Putting your hair in a ponytail: a step-by-step guide! Of course, she doesn't do them out loud. That would be weird. When Hazel's family has to move, and head far away to the outer suburbs, Hazel has to cope with leaving her best friend and starting at a new school where she doesn't exactly feel welcome. She manages to make a new friend, her elderly next-door-neighbour Veronica. But then Veronica has to move too. As Hazel settles in at school, she meets Laura, and together they create a real video: a how-to guide for being 'the new person'. Because everyone, sometime, will meet one or be one!
