On 1 September 1902 the school was moved to Robert Simpson's property [portion 19v]. The school closed on 13 March 1905 due to low attendance. To distinguish the two schools now operating in the Currumbin region the Valley school re-opened after petitioning on 21 September 1908 as Currumbin Upper Provisional School No. 775 in a building built by the Laver brothers on land donated by John Tyrrell [portion 36]."--Information taken from Currumbin Valley State School: history of the school and district, 1908-1988. 1988
