Summary
The Last Australian Childhood, written by Kevin Moloney, is a collection of 40 vignettes written in the different voices of a child, reflecting his age at the time the story is set. The stories tell of Kevin's family life, growing up in suburban Melbourne inthe 1960s as a Catholic boy who lost his father at the age of 11 and his mother at 17. Each chapter, a stand-alone story in itself, reflects an innocence and naivete which engages the reader in humour and an appreciation of family life simple and uncomplicated
