Review
Fifteen-year-old Ben Warner is more concerned with his next soccer match and avoiding his sisters than pondering the big questions in life. One night, though, while Ben is working late at his local fish-and-chips shop, a young woman walks in and invites him to examine his unexamined life. Lila has arrived from the World of Ideas, an idyllic afterlife where dead philosophers stroll around arguing for all eternity. Her mission is to find an unjaded candidate from the world of the living to serve as guinea pig to two betting philosophers: Wittgenstein and Socrates. Wittgenstein has challenged old Socrates, president of the WOI for the past two thousand years, to prove his belief that philosophy benefits the common man, and the presidency is up for grabs
