Rous Channel in Moreton Bay is named after Captain Henry John Rous R.N (1795-1877). Also named in his honour are: Stradbroke Island, Dunwich and Rainbow ChannelWilliam Johns, navigator of the Rainbow compiled the first functional map of the Tweed and southrn Gold Coast which is included in the book
