Summary
This experimental work raises the issue of how to represent history on film while providing a variety of perspectives on the Solidarity movement. Godmilow's failure to get a visa to make a more conventional documentary in Poland on Solidarity was the genesis of the experiment. The filmmaker foregrounds her own life in order to show how the personal affects both the film and the history it renders
