On the unique occasion of the flight of the last Avro Lancaster, 'The Spirit of Surfers Paradise', to its resting place in the Museum of the Historic Aircraft Preservation Society, I take the opportunity of sending cordial greetings to you, the Society and all those present at the Annual R.A.F Biggin Hill Air Fair, from myself, the Aldermen and Citizens of the City of Gold Coast, Australia's premier tourist resort, situated on the South eastern coast of the State of QueenslandThe occasion was the flight of the last Avro Lancaster 'Spirit of Surfers Paradise' from Australia to the Museum of the Historic Aircraft Preservation Society, England.
