Summary
Cadastral map showing area between Tallebudgera Creek and Palm Beach Avenue, Palm Beach. Some of the street names shown on this map are not the names that were actually used in this estate. Also shows the location of the South Coast Railway Line, Elanora Railway Station and Mallawa Drive Sports Complex. The railway line was closed in 1961 and the land was resumed to eventually become the M1 Motorway. The L. J. Hooker company developed land on both sides of Tallebudgera Creek in the 1950s; as Koala Park Estate on the northern side of the creek at Burleigh Heads; and Tallebudgera Gardens Estate on the southern side at Palm Beach. The Hooker company then sold both estates to Laurie Wall at some time between 1958 and 1963. (Information from: South Coast Bulletin, 8 March, 1963)
