Main title
Grand Hotel, Deepwater Point, Labrador, Queensland, 1920s
Summary
Erected in 1886 by a syndicate of Brisbane and local gentlemen, buoyed no doubt by the boom days of the eighties and Southport's current vice-regal status when it was known as Queensland's 'imperial watering place'. Erected at Deepwater Point, it originally stood in an isolated position from the main township. (Information taken from: R. Longhurst, Images of Yesteryear, 1994)
