Summary
Boone Terrell didn't want to return home. There were too many painful memories of the changes that had taken place among his Osage tribesmen after oil was discovered on their lands and the white men rushed in to help them spend the profits. But the mysterious telephone call telling him of the death of his close friend Acey Standing Elk brought Boone back on the run.
