Summary
Atlantis is under the rule of a brutal despot. Aquaman is in hiding. And the only hope for the undersea kingdom lies in the hands of the Sea King's betrothed, Atlantis' queen in exile, Mera. But with Mera's other dimensional powers no longer working as they should, she'll need help from some surprising places if she hopes to rescue her adopted home. Struggling to recover from the injuries that have left her fearsome powers unreliable at best, Mera must come to terms with her past, reckoning with a threat from another claimant to the throne -- Aquaman's half-brother Ocean Master -- even as she mounts a dangerous return to her own realm of Xebel in search of allies. But there are plots afoot in Xebel, Atlantis and even the surface world, as Mera and her comrades find themselves pawns in a game they must master if they are to survive, much less triumph!
