The Wintersun Festival ceased operating in Coolangatta in 2010, and was moved to Port Macquarie, New South Wales in 2011. It was replaced in Coolangatta by Cooly Rocks On. Both Wintersun and Cooly Rocks On have a focus on the music and culture of the 1950s and 1960s featuring musicians and rock bands, dance exhibitions with an added blend of fashion, motor vehicles and vintage cars, arts and craftsThis event followed on from the Wintersun Festival which ceased in 2010.
