Summary
The Unlikely Spy Catchers is a novel about friendship and love, an unusual school for workhouse boys training for the Royal Navy, and the ever-present danger of life in a seafaring town at a time of grave national emergency, as Napoleon considers taking his war to England itself. Abe and Meridee Six, having welcomed a son into their family, settle in running a school in Porstmouth for future sailors, which only admits orphaned or illegitimate children. Able is tasked with keeping watch on the bustling ports for signs of suspicious activity. But when Able and his charges discover a ship full of badly treated French prisoners of war, he is torn between his sense of humanity and his duty
