Summary
The Jefferson family from Toowoomba built their holiday home on Ocean Boulevard (South Coast Road) in southern Palm Beach. They named their home Beechwood House. Joseph 'Joe' Jefferson operated a horse and cart carry service. The original location of the home was close to the beach and after significant erosion events the house was sold to a new owner and was moved a block further back from the beach. By this time the laneway fronting the Jefferson property was called Jefferson's Lane
