Summary
Bob Connolly and Sophie Raymond approached MLC School (a Sydney girls' school) in 2008 to document in film the work of their music director Karen Carey and her Music Department as they led the girls over fifteen months to the now traditional, Biennial Opera House performance in 2009. Believing in the transformative power of great music, Carey insists upon a classical repertoire, sets a dauntingly high performance standard and requires the participation of every girl in the school. Carey inspires many of her girls, but some do not share her passion and are not afraid to say so
