Summary
Morovia is an island in the shape of a broken heart. Humans live on one half of the island, alkonosts (bird-men) on the other. However, this has not always been the case... Linnet would like to know how to sing magic, like his father, Nightingale, to reunite the two halves of his island. This division is the result of a terrible tragedy. Linnet had to go into exile with his father in the swamps and leave his best friends, Hero and Silver. Her father having been captured, she must show courage and leave for a journey fraught with pitfalls. Alligators or quicksand: nothing prevents him from making new friends during his journey. Linnet will also discover an even greater power than that of sung magic, capable of saving his father and repairing the broken heart of his island
