This image shows the Nerang River flowing around Chevron Island. The Korman Family Park can be seen on the western side of the Island. The Gold Coast City Council Administration Centre 'Evandale' can be seen under construction on the centre right edge of the image. Bundall Road flows from the right of the image, becoming the Southport - Burleigh Road below Chevron Island. The bridge connecting Elkhorn Avenue in Surfers Paradise to Thomas Drive in Chevron Island can be seen at seen in the centre towards the top of the image. However, the bridge connecting Thomas Drive to Slayter Avenue in Southport is yet to be constructed. The Southport Gold Club is located along the bottom of the image. Cronin Island can be seen on the centre left edge. The image spans from Ocean Avenue in the north to approximately Aubrey Street in the southPolice Reference UBD Map 5 D-O/6-10 --Information provided with photograph
